Kat's Trip to Lafayette

I am a new transplant to this area. I grew up in an area near Lafayette, Indiana, and after college I decided to make Lafayette my home. Lafayette then became my home for almost five years. After a ton of deliberation, and finding out that I was going to have some big life changes, I made the decision to leave. I moved here in July, and I haven't really been back since.

On Monday, my roommate and I decided to take a road trip and visit my former city. It's always fun to show someone a place that you love for the first time. We went shopping, ate at several of the local restaurants, took a walk over the Wabash River and had a generally good time. I have to admit that I do miss Lafayette.

We finally left around eight, which is night time now, and we drove home in the dark through the red flickering of the wind farms. It was a really lovely day, but I have to say, I was very glad to get home. I didn't realize until just then that this has become my new home. I'm really glad that I made the move, I just have been so busy since I got here that I haven't had time to notice the change!
