I look forward to opening my email every Monday morning to receive my new copy of Houzz. You've never heard of it? Neither had I until I got an iPad, and stumbled across the app. I couldn't believe all the beautifully decorated homes they were showing me; I couldn't get enough!!
So, I went to houzz.com - oh boy! Forget about dinner, you're going to have to pry me away from the computer! The site is basically a blog made up of architects, designers, and designer lovers. You can search by room, style, even the area you live in. They cover everything from, as my Mother would say, "Soup to Nuts" - paint colors to glassware for your kitchen. They talk about their favorite products, and what kind of flooring you should use. And sometimes they just talk about a garden that makes them happy. Soup to nuts.
When you register, you can save particular photos that you like, and make a note of what it is that you like about it. I've got a folder that I will refer to when I build that wine cellar I've always dreamed of!
But what made me really stop and take notice was, (what else??) their framed art. As I dug deeper, I came across an article that talks about framing your art.
